Our ultimate goal at Woofred’s is to treat every dog and their parents like they are family! We do this by developing personalized training for each pup, because every dog is unique, meaning they may need something that another pup doesn’t.

Is my dog too young or too old for training?

Whether you got your dog from a breeder, shelter or rescue, you should be getting a puppy that is at least 8 weeks old. With that said, puppies can learn basic commands, such as, “sit”, “down” and “stay” as young as 8 weeks old! Dogs are smart :)

The popular phrase, “you can’t teach an old dogs new tricks” is a myth. The younger the pup the quicker they tend to learn and are usually more responsive to learning than older dogs, but that does not mean older dogs cannot learn “new tricks.” It is NEVER too late to train your dog!

Training dogs 24/7 is not an easy job, so why do you do what you do?

It is truly a calling. It is not just about being a dog lover (even though it is a part of it), but it is what we were called to do!

Training is not only for the dog and their family, but for society as a whole. We want to do our part in our community by making every dog we encounter the BEST dog!
